Unique kitchen textiles
hand-woven in California from 100% linen
Inspired by linen cloth produced by my great-grandparents' family in Germany, I started weaving a few years ago and was immediately fascinated by the process and the material. Linen is a sustainable fiber that absorbs moisture very quickly, dries fast and becomes even thirstier with each use. The medium-weight yarn and loose weave structure of my textiles enhance these features and make it a pleasure to handle the cloth.
All hand-woven products offered here have been created in a slow small-scale process on a wooden floor loom in my studio in Northern California.
The goods I weave may show minor imperfections including uneven selvages and visible thread ends. Those irregularities do not impact the durability and functionality of the products but mark them as unique objects of manual craftsmanship.
